Basketball Game Preview: Capital City Public Charter School EAGLES vs. Idea Timberwolves

Having just played yesterday, the Capital City Public Charter School EAGLES will get right back to it and host the Idea Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Capital City Public Charter School lost to DC International on the road by a 67-52 margin.

Meanwhile, Idea was beaten by Parkside 78-51 on Saturday. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Capital City Public Charter School will have to keep a close watch on Sidy Koite and Kaidyn Lewis, a pair of players who had a big impact on Idea's prior game. Koite went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks, while Lewis went 7 of 12 en route to 17 points. The dominant performance also gave Lewis a new career-high in assists (three). Demonta King was another key player, putting up six points.

Capital City Public Charter School's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Idea, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Capital City Public Charter School ended up a good deal behind Idea when the teams last played back in January of 2024, losing 67-53. Thankfully for Capital City Public Charter School, Malachi Hoston (who went 7 for 14 en route to 20 points along with five boards and five steals) won't be suiting up this time.
