Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Academy Skates Past Varsity Opponent with Ease

Temple Christian Academy not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 13th (when they won 65-26). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Varsity Opponent 89-51. The Warriors have beaten Varsity Opponent the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Varsity Opponent has come to flipping the script.

Temple Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Hall out in front who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 17 boards. What's more, Hall posted five assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Casey Merritt, who went 10-for-22 on his way to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Temple Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 36 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

The win got Temple Christian Academy back to even at 1-1.
