League recap: Morris stuns Henryetta in upset

3A District 6 recap October 8, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Morris, who defeated 154th ranked Henryetta, 31-22.

Victory Christian extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 6 this week by beating Kellyville, 56-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

Keats Calhoon threw for 309 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 20-21 with 0 interceptions.

PJ McLachlan was the best wideout in the league this week as Victory Christian topped the Ponies. McLachlan tallied 8 receptions for 142 yards. Jacoby Hicks helped Victory Christian's passing attack out by catching 8 balls for 84 yards.

Victory Christian's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Conquerors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Calhoon has thrown for 1,338 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while McLachlan has 28 catches for 448 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Beggs takes on Inola. The Demons are currently in second, while the Longhorns are in third.

The Eagles were the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to fourth in 3A District 6. Earlier in the week, Morris defeated the Knights 31-22.
