Recap: Northside Christian Mustangs vs. Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors
The Northside Christian Mustangs were the 34-22 winner over the Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Northside Christian fell 28-19 to Zephyrhills Christian Academy on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Northside Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gavin Richardson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Leading Zephyrhills Christian Academy to victory were Kendall Johnson and Parker Stirnkorb. Johnson picked up 140 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Stirnkorb threw for 240 yards and three touchdowns.
Northside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside Christian will take on Orlando Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, they have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome American Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 2nd. American Collegiate Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
