Softball Recap: Holmdel Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Holmdel's offense. They fell just short of the Marlboro Mustangs by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Holmdel's loss dropped their record down to 15-4-1. As for Marlboro, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6.

While Holmdel had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
