Owen Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They snuck past the Edgewood Mustangs with a 40-34 win. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 50-42 loss the last time these two teams met.

Owen Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubrey Sparks, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 16 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Hogan, who posted nine points and five boards.

Despite the defeat, Edgewood had strong showings from Macey Crider, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds, and Addison Yearby, who had nine points. Crider has become a key player for Edgewood: the team is 8-3 when she posts at least eight boards, but 2-4 otherwise.

Owen Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Edgewood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.

Owen Valley has already played their next matchup (against South Putnam), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Edgewood will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Eastern Greene at 7:30 p.m.
