Basketball Recap: New Hope Christian's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

New Hope Christian put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Rogue Valley Adventist Red Tail Hawks to the tune of 55-28. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 27 points or more this season.

New Hope Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cadence Gonzales, who posted 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. Gonzales is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ava Barnett, who had 17 points and seven steals.

New Hope Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

New Hope Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Rogue Valley Adventist, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-1.

New Hope Christian will head out to square off against Elkton at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rogue Valley Adventist, they will square off against Chiloquin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
