Baseball Recap: Buford Comes Up Short

Buford fell victim to Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Yellow Jackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Buford's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Central, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Central will be playing in front of their home fans against McBee at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Buford will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' matchup: after the Eagles face off against the Panthers, they'll take on Buford again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
