Blanchester is 1-9 against Georgetown since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the G-Men at 4:30 p.m. Blanchester is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
Blanchester took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Felicity-Franklin. The Wildcats have beaten the Cardinals the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cardinals has come to flipping the script.
Reece Ledford was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Ledford was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Blanchester's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's contest. The Wildcats have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Georgetown, though, as they've been averaging only 0.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Blanchester continue to outrun the ball?
Blanchester might still be hurting after the 15-5 loss they got from Georgetown when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
