Baseball Recap: Metamora Comes Up Short

Metamora lost against East Peoria on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Redbirds fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-2. The Redbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Metamora's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for East Peoria, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Metamora wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-7 defeat against Illinois Valley Central on the 15th. As for East Peoria, they will take on Streator at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
