Basketball Recap: St. Andrew's Episcopal Find Success

If Georgetown Visitation Prep wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Andrew's Episcopal, they should've done a better job of containing Safa Al-Uqdah Robinson. The St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions secured a 57-52 W over the Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs on Tuesday thanks in part to Al-Uqdah Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 16.4 points per game.

Despite the loss, Georgetown Visitation Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyssa Fitzgerald posted 19 points and three steals. Fitzgerald is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Jocelyn Gill was another key player, putting up 14 points and seven rebounds.

The win got St. Andrew's Episcopal back to even at 3-3. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

St. Andrew's Episcopal and Central Pointe Christian Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Andrew's Episcopal is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-55 victory against Whitman on the 19th.
