Basketball Recap: West Clermont Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

West Clermont had won seven straight home games dating back to last season and Layla Hale did her part to make it eight on Thursday. The West Clermont Wolves took down the Loveland Tigers 63-49 thanks in part to Hale, who went 11 of 19 on her way to 28 points and seven boards. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kam Lowe, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (four).

When it comes to explaining why Loveland lost, don't look at Katy Wilber. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 10from beyond the arc on her way to 21 points and five rebounds. Bella Rogers was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

West Clermont's record is now 2-0. As for Loveland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

West Clermont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-35 victory against Fairfield on the 7th. As for Loveland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-49 win against Western Brown on the 9th.
