Baseball Recap: Doral Academy Red Rock Comes Up Short

Doral Academy Red Rock lost against Mater Academy East Las Vegas back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Doral Academy Red Rock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keagan Gartner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Daniel Cruz was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Doral Academy Red Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Doral Academy Red Rock will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southeast Career Tech at 3:30 p.m. on March 25th. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they will square off against Pahrump Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Pahrump Valley 2.7, Mater Academy East Las Vegas 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
