Volleyball Recap: Unity Christian Takes a Loss

Unity Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Mahomet-Seymour on Saturday. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-18.

Unity Christian's offense was headlined by Cameron Brown and Laila Turner, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Abby Jones and her five assists.

Unity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they pushed their record up to 23-2 with the win, which was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season.

Unity Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Rochester on the 4th. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Normal University on the 4th.
