Baseball Recap: Xavier Prep Takes a Loss

Xavier Prep lost against Palm Desert back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Saints fell 7-2 to the Aztecs. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Xavier Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hyun Jun Kim, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Vincent Scarborough was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Xavier Prep's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Palm Desert, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

While Xavier Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
