Marion won the last time they faced Phelps and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Knights 2-1.

Marion had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 15-9.

Marion now has a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion will host Tigerton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Phelps, they will face off against Butternut at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
