Volleyball Recap: Fairless Find Success

Fairless took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Strasburg-Franklin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons skirted past the Tigers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since September 28, 2024.

Fairless was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-103), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-22, 14-25, 25-17, 22-25, 17-15.

Morgan Burdge was nothing short of spectacular: she had 33 digs and four assists. Those 33 digs gave her a new career-high.

Fairless was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They served one more ace than Strasburg-Franklin's also-impressive total of ten.

The win made it two in a row for Fairless and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Strasburg-Franklin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Fairless and Strasburg-Franklin will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Falcons will face off against rival Canton South at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Strasburg-Franklin is set to take on their familiar foe Newcomerstown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
