Baseball Game Preview: Paraclete Spirits vs. Saugus Centurions

Paraclete has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Saugus has won six straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Paraclete Spirits will be taking part in a tournament against the Saugus Centurions at 3:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Paraclete's tournament run continued when they took on Cleveland on Friday. Paraclete came out on top against Cleveland by a score of 11-6.

Anthony Hernandez looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Armando Saucedo was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jayden Espindola, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Saugus made easy work of Agoura on Friday and carried off a 15-7 victory.

Noah Garcia looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Zackery Seeley was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Kaden Haag was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Paraclete now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Saugus, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
