Football Game Preview: Richmond Senior Raiders vs. Pine Forest Trojans + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Richmond Senior will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After each having a week off, they and the Pine Forest Trojans will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Richmond Senior will be strutting in after a victory while Pine Forest will be coming in after a defeat.

Richmond Senior is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Carolina's top teams: West Forsyth, who was ranked 15th at the time (Richmond Senior was ranked 19th). The Raiders snuck past the Titans with a 36-30 win last Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Pine Forest came up short against Cape Fear last Friday, falling 43-22. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Colts recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Richmond Senior will have to keep a close watch on Jaidon Moore and Perry Moore, a pair of players who had a big impact on Pine Forest's prior game. Jaidon threw for 306 yards and one touchdown, while Perry picked up 196 receiving yards and one score. Perry showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 57 yards.

Pine Forest's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Richmond Senior, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Richmond Senior has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 356.6 total yards per game. It's a different story for Pine Forest, though, as they've been averaging only 226 total yards. Will Richmond Senior be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Trojans flip the script?

Everything came up roses for Richmond Senior against Pine Forest when the teams last played back in August of 2018, as the squad secured a 28-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
