Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Hawkeyes vs. Spring Lake Lakers

The Hamilton Hawkeyes will challenge the Spring Lake Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hamilton is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Hamilton came up short against Covenant Christian and fell 38-28.

Meanwhile, Spring Lake earned a 44-33 win over Holland on Friday. Given the Lakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Dutch are ranked 507th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Spring Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Hamilton suffered a grim 57-34 defeat to Spring Lake in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Hamilton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
