Football Recap: Webster Groves Starts Season with Loss at Home

Webster Groves unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Vianney Golden Griffins on Friday, falling 54-10. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Webster Groves will take on Hazelwood West at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Statesmen's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Vianney, they are taking a road trip to square off against Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
