Basketball Game Preview: Kingston Buccaneers vs. North Kitsap Vikings

Kingston is 1-9 against North Kitsap since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Kingston Buccaneers will take on the North Kitsap Vikings at 8:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Kingston is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Bremerton 98-29. The Buccaneers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-20.

Meanwhile, North Kitsap was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to Olympic. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (57), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Kitsap, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.

Kingston took a serious blow against North Kitsap in their previous matchup back in January, falling 80-44. Can Kingston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
