Recap: Cassadaga Valley Cougars vs. Ellicottville Eagles
The Cassadaga Valley Cougars lost against the Ellicottville Eagles back in March of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cassadaga Valley fell to Ellicottville 35-30. Cassadaga Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Among those leading the charge was Owen Chudy, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Ellicottville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Smith, who scored 5 points along with 11 rebounds and 5 steals.
Cassadaga Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ellicottville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cassadaga Valley will take on Maple Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ellicottville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Panama at 7:30 p.m.
