Recap: Pleasant Valley Bears vs. East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves
The Pleasant Valley Bears lost against the East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Pleasant Valley received a tough blow as they fell 66-52 to East Stroudsburg North. While losing is never fun, Pleasant Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while East Stroudsburg North is ranked 194th).
Leading East Stroudsburg North to victory were Bryceson Dobie and Nate Wilder. Dobie scored 24 points, while Wilder dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Bernard Bowen III was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
This is the second loss in a row for Pleasant Valley and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for East Stroudsburg North, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pocono Mountain East at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Pocono Mountain East is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for East Stroudsburg North, they will head out on the road to face off against Pocono Mountain West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
