Preview: Manchester Greyhounds vs. Peebles Indians
Manchester is 2-8 against Peebles since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Manchester Greyhounds will be playing at home against the Peebles Indians at 7:15 p.m.
Last Monday, Manchester was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 39-35 to Glenwood.
Even though Peebles has not done well against North Adams recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Peebles had just enough and edged North Adams out 38-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Peebles.
Peebles' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Payton Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Peebles' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Smalley, who scored 12 points.
Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Peebles, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
