While Kilgore didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-31), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Jacksonville Fightin' Indians on Saturday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Fightin' Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Kilgore's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Jacksonville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kilgore will take on Beckville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jacksonville, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Lufkin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Fightin' Indians their first taste of in-conference action this season.
