Basketball Game Preview: Cordova Wolves vs. Bartlett Panthers + Official Tickets

Cordova hasn't had much luck against Bartlett recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wolves will head out to square off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m.

Cordova is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since February 14, 2025 last Tuesday. They fell just short of Pontotoc by a score of 48-46. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 128th in Tennessee, while the Warriors are ranked 29th in Mississippi).

Meanwhile, Bartlett had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 78-76 win over the Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted against the Mustangs since January 3, 2023.

Bartlett's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Cordova, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Cordova was dealt a bruising 82-38 loss at the hands of Bartlett in their previous meeting back in February of 2025. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
