Baseball Recap: PikeView Takes a Loss

PikeView had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 15-12 to make it four. They came up short against the Sissonville Indians, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-3 loss two weeks ago.

PikeView saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Damewood, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

As for Sissonville, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-7. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

On Sissonville's side, the team relied heavily on Jacob Coleman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave Coleman a new career-high. Nathaniel Simonton was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As of now, neither PikeView nor Sissonville have any future games scheduled.
