Baseball Recap: Questa Comes Up Short

Questa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 20-9 to the Clayton Yellowjackets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-9 on Thursday.

Carlos Ortega made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Adam Gordan also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Questa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Clayton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Questa will square off against Mora at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mora has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something Questa will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clayton, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-7 victory against Logan on the 28th.
