Basketball Recap: Academy for Urban Scholars Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Academy for Urban Scholars Centurion Hawks took a blow against the KIPP Columbus Jaguars, falling 56-9. The Centurion Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Academy for Urban Scholars' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for KIPP Columbus, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.

Academy for Urban Scholars will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Horizon Science Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for KIPP Columbus, they will be home for the holidays to greet Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. KIPP Columbus is facing Cristo Rey at the right time seeing as Cristo Rey is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
