Soccer Game Preview: Gregori vs. Modesto

The Gregori Jaguars are taking a road trip to face off against the Modesto Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Gregori played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Pitman 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given Gregori's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 299th, while Pitman are ranked 87th).

Meanwhile, Modesto has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 13th. Neither they nor Enochs could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The victory was some much needed relief for Modesto as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Gregori's win bumped their record up to 7-4-6. With that draw, Modesto's record moves to 9-8-5.
