Softball Recap: Chico Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Chico's offense. They lost 21-0 to the Muenster Hornets on Friday. The Dragons have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Chico's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Muenster, they pushed their record up to 16-7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chico will welcome Nocona at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Muenster, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Lindsay at 5:00 p.m. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
