Softball Recap: Haslett Drops Highest Score of Season Against Charlotte

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Haslett). They blew past the Charlotte Orioles 24-9 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Lainey Lafargue was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with five runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Emerson Pentilla also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Haslett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Charlotte only managed nine hits.

Haslett's record is now 3-8. As for Charlotte, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, Haslett will head out to take on Holt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Charlotte, they will host Okemos at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
