St. Charles had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-7 to make it seven. They came up short against the Fulton Pirates, falling 16-1. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
St. Charles saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenden Servantes, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Servantes has hit this season.
As for Fulton, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.
On Fulton's side, they got a massive performance out of Carson Litwiller, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Litwiller a new career-high. Parker Billings was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
While St. Charles had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
