Soccer Recap: Conestoga Comes Up Short

Conestoga came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-0 to the Gretna East Griffins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Conestoga of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Conestoga's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Gretna East, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Conestoga does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gretna East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against The Platte at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gretna East's defense better be ready for this one: The Platte has averaged an impressive 2.8 goals per game this season.
