La Habra had won seven straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 20-7 to make it eight. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the El Dorado Golden Hawks. The win continues a trend for the Highlanders in their matchups with the Golden Hawks: they've now won six in a row.

Eliana Corona was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11. They have struggled against La Habra recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

On El Dorado's side, Renay Chavez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Presley Marquez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

La Habra wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against Sunny Hills on the 1st. As for El Dorado, they have also already played their next match, a 7-1 win against Villa Park on the 1st.
