Volleyball Recap: Layton Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Layton Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Morgan Trojans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-8, 25-18.

Morgan found their leader in sophomore Caleb Stephens, who had three aces and one block. Stephens has been hot for a while, having also posted 18 or more assists the last ten times he's played.

Layton Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Morgan, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Layton Christian Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Ben Lomond at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Morgan will take on rival Grantsville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
