Volleyball Recap: West Covina Comes Up Short on the Road Against Los Altos

West Covina kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Los Altos Conquerors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Lily Venegas, who had nine digs and two aces. What's more, she posted three assists, the most she's had since back in August of 2024.

The win got Los Altos back to even at 1-1.

West Covina wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Bonita on the 14th. As for Los Altos, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Walnut on the 14th.
