Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rio). Everything went their way against the Necedah Cardinals on Saturday as they made off with a 21-6 victory.

Cooper Krakow made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Krakow was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, William Homman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miles Hall, who went 1-for-5 with five RBI, one triple, and one run.

Rio always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Rio's win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Necedah, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
