Soccer Recap: Edgewater Takes a Loss

Edgewater pushed their score to zero the last time they played Olympia, but on Wednesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Edgewater Eagles fell 2-0 to the Olympia Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Edgewater now has a losing record at 7-8-2. As for Olympia, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7-3 record this season.

Edgewater will take on Lake Howell at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Edgewater's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Olympia, they will face off against Oak Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Olympia is facing Oak Ridge at the right time seeing as Oak Ridge is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
