The Anson Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Stamford Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Anson's defense has only allowed 9.8 points per game this season, so Stamford's offense will have their work cut out for them.

It was a proper cat-fight when Anson faced off against Hawley on Friday. The Tigers took a 39-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Tigers, who until this matchup were averaging 9.83 points allowed.

Despite their defeat, Anson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Malachi St. John, who picked up 165 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in one rushing score, was perhaps the best of all. Alexander Lozano was another key pass catcher, picking up 118 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Stamford came up short against Cisco on Friday and fell 30-20.

Anson will have to keep a close watch on Mason Mueller and Slayden Young, a pair of players who had a big impact on Stamford's prior game. Mueller rushed for 72 yards, while Young picked up 108 receiving yards.
