Valley Falls was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fifth in Delaware Valley. Earlier in the week, the Dragons defeated Immaculata 44-8.
Jackson Heights moved up to 152 from 186 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cobras were able to make the jump by beating Jefferson County North 44-0.
Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy's dynamic duo of Brock Hanf and Brian Scott proved tough for Atchison County to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hanf threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns and Scott had 96 yards receiving. Cody Calhoon helped Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy's passing attack out by catching three balls for 77 yards.
K. Chew was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 130 yards as the Tigers lost to the Tigers. Teammate R. Hundley added to the ground attack by rushing for 90 yards.
Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy's Hanf and Scott have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Delaware Valley in both passing and receiving yards. Hanf has thrown for 1202 yards this season, while Scott, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 40 catches for 557 yards. The Raiders' Drew Sachen leads the league in rushing yards with 696.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Valley Falls takes on McLouth. At the moment, Rod Bunde's team is in fifth, while the Bulldogs are in second.
Jackson Heights made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,358 from 11,441. The improvement was the result of 44-0 victory over the Chargers last week.
