If BASIS - Prescott was riding high fresh off their 50-2 takedown of Verde Valley last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The BASIS - Prescott Coyote fell to the Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles 40-34. The Coyote's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Arrowhead Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hadasa Rubio out in front who went 6 of 15 on her way to 14 points along with eight steals and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Rubio a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Rubio, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

BASIS - Prescott's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Arrowhead Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

BASIS - Prescott will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ville de Marie Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
