Soccer Recap: Stone Bridge Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Stone Bridge walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Massaponax Panthers a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. Given Stone Bridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Massaponax are ranked 220th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Looking ahead, Stone Bridge will take on Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Independence will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something Stone Bridge surely won't give up without a fight. Massaponax does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
