The Tamaqua Blue Raiders will challenge the Schuylkill Valley Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Tamaqua will be strutting in after a victory while Schuylkill Valley will be coming in after a loss.
Tamaqua's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Marian Catholic with a sharp 11-0 win. The Blue Raiders haven't had any issues with Marian Catholic recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Mason Ligenza was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single hit, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Luke Kane was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Noah Mateyak was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Tamaqua always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marian Catholic only posted an OBP of .118.
Meanwhile, Schuylkill Valley came up short against Upper Perkiomen on Tuesday, falling 17-3.
Chase Keller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Schuylkill Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Tamaqua, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Tamaqua beat Schuylkill Valley 10-6 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does Tamaqua have another victory up their sleeve, or will Schuylkill Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
