Taft has gone a perfect 10-0 against Northside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Taft took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Lake View get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season.

Taft got a massive performance out of Andrew Korolis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases Korolis has posted since back in March. Julian Muntean was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Taft always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Northside had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Warriors. Considering the Mustangs have won eight contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Leir Dierdorff made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Taft's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Northside, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.

Taft got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 against Northside by a conclusive 15-5 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
