Softball Recap: Floresville Comes Up Short

Floresville was the 17-1 winner over Pleasanton when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Floresville Tigers/Jaguars fell just short of the Pleasanton Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Tigers/Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Floresville's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Pleasanton, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6-1.

Looking ahead, Floresville will host Devine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Devine's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Floresville's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pleasanton, they will head out on the road to square off against Uvalde at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Uvalde has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.75 runs per game on average), something Pleasanton will no doubt try to take advantage of.
