Baseball Game Preview: Sanderson Spartans vs. Vance County Vipers

Sanderson is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Vance County an 18-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Sanderson Spartans will be playing at home against the Vance County Vipers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Sanderson and Enloe meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Spartans took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Sanderson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was GAINES STALLWORTH, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. STALLWORTH also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Vance County lost 19-3 to South Granville on Tuesday.

Vance County's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Sanderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
