Volleyball Recap: Tri-State Christian Find Success

Tri-State Christian not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 27, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Faith Christian Falcons with a sharp 3-0 victory. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Tri-State Christian was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-16, 25-16.

Ella Hilborn paced Tri-State Christian's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hilborn got some help from Emma Hilborn and her 22 assists. Ella was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

Despite the loss, Faith Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jenna Heller had 11 digs, two aces, and one block. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Heller.

Tri-State Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Faith Christian, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Tri-State Christian will venture away from home to square off against Pathway Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against East Moline Christian on the 12th.
