It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Argyle ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Richland Royals. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Royals on March 4th, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Argyle has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. Richland is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Argyle will face off against rival Grapevine at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Richland is set to take on their familiar foe Denton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
